1859 Enfield Conversion to 577 Snider Breech Loading Rifle
The 1860s were an interesting and exciting time in firearms development. Countries
were transitioning from muzzleloaders to cartridge rifles. The American Civil War
highlighted everything from muzzleloaders to Gatling guns.
Many European countries utilized various conversions, including Great Britain,
which used the Snider conversion
THE ORIGINAL IDEA WAS REJECTED BY THE U.S. … SO SNIDER SOLD IT TO
BRITAIN
This is one of th eunits that had the conversion done to it.
Condition is an issue here and a complete retoration could be made to bring the gun
back to life.
Bore seems ok and it functions as it should.
Surface corrosion and simple layers of dirt over the years has given this gun its dull loo.
Wood is still sound and metal only suffers from surface dirt.

When shipping is required for any purchase an additional charge will occur the day the item has been shipped. We ship mainly at cost via Canada Post.
Please note that due to restrictions we will ship all Ammunition by courier Canada wide - No Ammo, or Firearms, can be shipped outside of Canada.. WE SHIP AMMO ONLY VIA UPS OR PUROLATOR.... We cannot ship ammunition to a PO BOX - Please note that if we cannot ship to your address the item is forfeited and NO REFUND will be given..
We are NOT responsible for damage during shipping. We don't guarantee delivery times and will not refund shipping charges for parcels that are not delivered by a specific date.
Items over $200 will be insured and a signature 18+ is required (unless under $200 or going by letter mail).
NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN ON LOTS THAT WE ARE UNABLE TO SHIP TO YOU.
Shipping charges will be determined after preparation as we need to pack, weigh and measure each box. Your credit card will be charged this amount before the parcel leaves.

TERMS OF PAYMENT: At the conclusion of the Auction all items purchased will be charged to the Credit Card that was provided at registration to guarantee payment. If shipping is required for any purchase an additional charge will occur the day the item has been shipped 0 and a tracking number will be sent.. A $40.00 late payer fee may be added to any invoice that can't be processed at the conclusion of the sale. Please ensure that you have provided us with the correct number and expiry date. Recurring problem payers will be banned from future sales. Bidders are responsible for full payment of all their purchases at the drop of the hammer. Our Consignors are paid based on the hammer price. We will attempt to charge your credit card partial amounts until the amount is paid in full. Any purchase which has not been fully paid will be forfeited after two weeks. We will do our due dilegence in trying to resolve nonpayment issues as best we can but if we get no responce from buyer then the goods will be forfeited and resold at our discretion.
Any balance remaining unpaid after the resale may be referred to our collection agency, and or small claims court.

KOS Auctions do not guarantee or make warranties on any lot. We acknowledge that errors may occur, however, we endeavor to give you accurate information in the descriptions provided. We are available by email (pocomilitary@gmail.com ) and phone (604-796-0006) to answer questions and provide additional photographs prior to bidding, as required. No employee of KOS Auctions is authorized to make any representation or warranty, oral or written, with respect to any lot or item for sale other than the CEO.
KOS Auctions will not return or refund money if an item is not exactly in the same condition as listed in the online listing. All ratings in the online listing are subjective and are of visual opinion, no mechanical inspection is undertaken by KOS unless stated. Any concern on a listing must be addressed via email before the closing of the auction.
Any items that are purchased that we are not able to deliver will be sold at the next opportunity, regular commission charges apply to that secondary sale.
We require your full correct name and a mailing address for your items won. Customers who fail to do so, or who need the paperwork restarted due to an error on their part may be charged an administrative fee of $25.00 per lot. Please note we DO NOT ship Ammunition or Firearms to the USA. Do NOT bid on these items if you are not shipping to Canada.There are NO REFUNDS if you do this and we cannot complete the transaction.
Note that any items that have been purchased but are deemed “not importable/exportable” will be forfeited.
You have sole responsibility for your purchases. Please check with your governing body to ensure your intended purchase is importable, as well as the third-party exporter to ensure they will be able to export to your country, this should be done prior to bidding.

BIDDING: The highest bidder shall be the purchaser and the decision of the auctioneer relating to all matters is final. Pre-bids are time-stamped and the earliest bid will win any tie situation. All sales are final and not subject to conditions. All merchandise is sold 'As Is' without recourse to the vendor. All goods advertised or displayed are subject to withdrawal prior to sale within the discretion of the auctioneer. The Auctioneers may reject a bid at their discretion without reason or explanation. Bid increments are fixed for online-only auctions. Bid increments are fixed for the pre-bidding and maximum bid portion of Online auctions.

KOS Auctions nor the Consignor makes any representation or warranty, express or implied, as to the title, merchant ability, fitness or condition of the property or as to the correctness of description, genuineness, attribution, provenance or period of the property or as to whether the purchaser acquires any copyrights or other intellectual property rights in lots sold or as to whether a work of art is subject to the artist's moral rights or other residual rights of the artist. . The Purchaser expressly acknowledges and agrees that in no event shall KOS Auctions or its associcated companies be liable for any damages including without limitation any compensatory, incidental or consequential damages.
The absence of a condition statement does not imply that the lot is in perfect condition or completely free from wear and tear, imperfections or the effects of aging. KOS Auctions shall not be responsible for any error or omissions in lot listings.
If we sell firearms that have been previously de-activated by others, these may not meet current or exportable standards. Firearms de-activated by others may or may not have a “de-activation letter” available. We are not able to search for letters for firearms de-activated by others.
