1869 Austro-Hungarian Cavalry Officiers SWORD with Scabbard

Hoflieferant Striberny Wein Eisenhauer 1869. Origin: Austro-Hungarian Empire,
after 1869.
Blade: steel slightly curved heavy duty slab sided Solingen combat blade with a
single fuller on one side.. .
Other side flat. Makers mark on ricasso: Hoflieferant Striberny Wein Eisenhauer

Closed steel hilt, yelman in shape of round basket, finished one side with cylindrical
finial, other side reaching the pommel, open-work cut and engraved. Long back
strap from the pommel to ring above the yelman.
Grip of wood covered with a fish leather, fixed with twisted steel wire.

Steel Scabbard is complete and does some dents towards the end.

Total length is 41.5 inch in scabbard. Length of the blade is 35.35 inches.

Blade condition is very good - shiny finish and unsharpeded .
Scabbard has a dull finish and shows some dents and minor damage.
