Brown Bess Pattern 1809 Flintlock Tower Musket... 216 YEARS OLD

RESERVE is set at $1400 - Antique so no PAL is required.

This rare find is an all Original and Ordnance Marked from the Napoleonic Wars.
Brown Bess is a nickname of uncertain origin for the British Army's muzzle-loading
smoothbore flintlock Land Pattern Musket and its derivatives.

The musket design remained in use for over a hundred years with many incremental
changes in its design.

This Long full wood gun with a 38.75 inch barrel in 0.75 inches calibre
These flintlock muskets, were the standard long guns of the British Empire's land
forces from 1722 until 1838.

This Short Land Pattern 1809 Brown Bess is in original condition throughout- as
issued and carried in the Napoleonic Wars - and does not appear to have had many
repairs at all or even has any cracks.

There are numerous stamps on the peice plus a very clear Crown and the word
TOWER stamped on the side lock.. Plus the Broadarrow stamp..
The hammer even has the flint stone in it.

All complete with original Ram Rod under barrel

A peice of History for sure .. Very Rare to find in unrestored and untampered condition
