Illustrated Referance of Cartridge Dimensions

The illustrated reference of cartridge dimensions is intended to document the
evolution of cartridge development, including standard factory offerings, wildcats and
obsolete cartridges that continue to inspire the fascination and interest of the
shooting public.

With few exceptions, dimensions have been taken from SAAMI drawings /and or fired
cartridges.
Owing to the variation among Wildcat chambers however, the reader is cautioned to
understand the drawings represent the accepted standards for individual cartridges.
The .257 Roberts improved with a 28-degree shoulder is not the same as any other
improved version of the .257 Roberts.

Other subtle distinctions are made throughout the drawings, and one cartridge
should not be confused with another simply because the two appear similar, such as
the .270 Titus and the .270 Redding or the .270-308.
