Janssen Sons CAPE GUN 12 ga x 44 Evans Long Side by Side Combination Rifle
Janssen & Co, Leige, Belgium became Janssen Fils & Co., c. 1892. Sometime
between 1895 and 1914 the company became part of Simonis, Janssen, Dumoulin
& Co. They would have marked guns intended for export to the United States as
Sons instead of Fils.
This is a very unusual gun as it has a 12 ga Shotgun barrel on the right with a 10.4 x
38 Swiss (44 Evans) rifled barrel on the left.
Exposed hammer gun in very good condition.
Mateal barrels are clean and have good bores. Barrels are tight with heavy rib. Has
LAMINATED STEEL stamped on rib near receiver end.
Barrel close up tight with no play. Bluing is lost on all metal surfaces,
Side lock plaes have JANSSEN SONS & Co stampd on them.
Rear stock has very nice Tiger Stripe ppattern and is free from any defects. May have been refinished
Steel butt plate edges are a litte proud of the wood.
Foregrip wood is lightly checkered.
Last picture shows details on card of the centre fire round.
This lot comes with 2 brass casings.

When shipping is required for any purchase an additional charge will occur the day the item has been shipped. We ship mainly at cost via Canada Post.
Please note that due to restrictions we will ship all Ammunition by courier Canada wide - No Ammo, or Firearms, can be shipped outside of Canada.. WE SHIP AMMO ONLY VIA UPS OR PUROLATOR.... We cannot ship ammunition to a PO BOX - Please note that if we cannot ship to your address the item is forfeited and NO REFUND will be given..
We are NOT responsible for damage during shipping. We don't guarantee delivery times and will not refund shipping charges for parcels that are not delivered by a specific date.
Items over $200 will be insured and a signature 18+ is required (unless under $200 or going by letter mail).
NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN ON LOTS THAT WE ARE UNABLE TO SHIP TO YOU.
Shipping charges will be determined after preparation as we need to pack, weigh and measure each box. Your credit card will be charged this amount before the parcel leaves.

TERMS OF PAYMENT: At the conclusion of the Auction all items purchased will be charged to the Credit Card that was provided at registration to guarantee payment. If shipping is required for any purchase an additional charge will occur the day the item has been shipped 0 and a tracking number will be sent.. A $40.00 late payer fee may be added to any invoice that can't be processed at the conclusion of the sale. Please ensure that you have provided us with the correct number and expiry date. Recurring problem payers will be banned from future sales. Bidders are responsible for full payment of all their purchases at the drop of the hammer. Our Consignors are paid based on the hammer price. We will attempt to charge your credit card partial amounts until the amount is paid in full. Any purchase which has not been fully paid will be forfeited after two weeks. We will do our due dilegence in trying to resolve nonpayment issues as best we can but if we get no responce from buyer then the goods will be forfeited and resold at our discretion.
Any balance remaining unpaid after the resale may be referred to our collection agency, and or small claims court.

KOS Auctions do not guarantee or make warranties on any lot. We acknowledge that errors may occur, however, we endeavor to give you accurate information in the descriptions provided. No employee of KOS Auctions is authorized to make any representation or warranty, oral or written, with respect to any lot or item for sale other than the CEO.
KOS Auctions will not return or refund money if an item is not exactly in the same condition as listed in the online listing. All ratings in the online listing are subjective and are of visual opinion, no mechanical inspection is undertaken by KOS unless stated. Any concern on a listing must be addressed via email before the closing of the auction.
Any items that are purchased that we are not able to deliver will be sold at the next opportunity, regular commission charges apply to that secondary sale.
We require your full correct name and a mailing address for your items won. Customers who fail to do so, or who need the paperwork restarted due to an error on their part may be charged an administrative fee of $25.00 per lot. The Purchaser expressly acknowledges and agrees that in no event shall KOS Auctions or its associcated companies be liable for any damages including without limitation any compensatory, incidental or consequential damages.
The absence of a condition statement does not imply that the lot is in perfect condition or completely free from wear and tear, imperfections or the effects of aging. KOS Auctions shall not be responsible for any error or omissions in lot listings.
If we sell firearms that have been previously de-activated by others, these may not meet current or exportable standards. Firearms de-activated by others may or may not have a “de-activation letter” available. We are not able to search for letters for firearms de-activated by others.
