Action Type: Single Shot Falling Block Rifle

Markings: The top of the barrel is marked 218 BEE. The llower tang is marked
100 75

Barrel Length: 25 inches, 1/2 Octagonal 1/2 Round approximately.

Sights / Optics: The entire top of the barrels flat surface on the octagonal part of the barrel is covered with a Picatinny
Rail to which aCabelas 4-12 x 40 scope is mounted.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are smooth Maple Burl wood and are really nice.with a straight
grip, cheek rest, and crescent metal buttplate. The stocks are flawless.
The LOP measures approximately 13 in from the front of the trigger to the back of
the buttplate. The buttplate has slight flaw mark and minor thinning of finish.

Bore Condition: The bore is good with sharp rifling.

Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 30% of its metal finish. More on the barrel
than on the receiver. Overall, this rifle is in Fine condition. .

Mechanics: The action appears to function correctly.

The Stevens Model 44 and Model 44 1/2 rifles were produced by the J. Stevens Arms
& Tool Company, a prominent firearms manufacturer that operated from the late 19th
century to the mid-20th century. These rifles were part of a series of single-shot,
falling block action rifles that gained popularity among target shooters and hunters
during that time.

Both the Stevens Model 44 and Model 44 1/2 rifles were highly regarded for their
accuracy and craftsmanship. They were popular choices among target shooters,
especially in the realm of long-range shooting competitions.
