Action Type: Single Shot Falling Block Rifle
Markings: The top of the barrel is marked J. STEVENS A. & T. CO. / CHICOPEE
FALLS, MASS. U.S.A - and on the side 38.40. The llower tang is marked 19415
Barrel Length: 26 inches, 1/3 Octagonal 2/3 Round approximately.
Sights / Optics: The rear sight is popup Tang Sight - Front sight is post with hood
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are smooth walnut wood and are in good
condition - No cracks or repairs evident - does have the usual dents scratches etc one would
expect from a gun this age..
Has original steel crescent buttplate.
The LOP measures approximately 13 in from the front of the trigger to the back of
the buttplate.
Bore Condition: The bore is good
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 60% of its metal finish. More on the barrel
than on the receiver. Overall, this rifle is in Fine condition. .
Mechanics: The action appears to function correctly.
The Stevens Model 44 and Model 44 1/2 rifles were produced by the J. Stevens Arms
& Tool Company, a prominent firearms manufacturer that operated from the late 19th
century to the mid-20th century. These rifles were part of a series of single-shot,
falling block action rifles that gained popularity among target shooters and hunters
during that time.
Both the Stevens Model 44 and Model 44 1/2 rifles were highly regarded for their
accuracy and craftsmanship. They were popular choices among target shooters,
especially in the realm of long-range shooting competitions.

When shipping is required for any purchase an additional charge will occur the day the item has been shipped. We ship mainly at cost via Canada Post.
Please note that due to restrictions we will ship all Ammunition by courier Canada wide - No Ammo, or Firearms, can be shipped outside of Canada.. WE SHIP AMMO ONLY VIA UPS OR PUROLATOR.... We cannot ship ammunition to a PO BOX - Please note that if we cannot ship to your address the item is forfeited and NO REFUND will be given..
We are NOT responsible for damage during shipping. We don't guarantee delivery times and will not refund shipping charges for parcels that are not delivered by a specific date.
Items over $200 will be insured and a signature 18+ is required (unless under $200 or going by letter mail).
NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN ON LOTS THAT WE ARE UNABLE TO SHIP TO YOU.
Shipping charges will be determined after preparation as we need to pack, weigh and measure each box. Your credit card will be charged this amount before the parcel leaves.

TERMS OF PAYMENT: At the conclusion of the Auction all items purchased will be charged to the Credit Card that was provided at registration to guarantee payment. If shipping is required for any purchase an additional charge will occur the day the item has been shipped 0 and a tracking number will be sent.. A $40.00 late payer fee may be added to any invoice that can't be processed at the conclusion of the sale. Please ensure that you have provided us with the correct number and expiry date. Recurring problem payers will be banned from future sales. Bidders are responsible for full payment of all their purchases at the drop of the hammer. Our Consignors are paid based on the hammer price. We will attempt to charge your credit card partial amounts until the amount is paid in full. Any purchase which has not been fully paid will be forfeited after two weeks. We will do our due dilegence in trying to resolve nonpayment issues as best we can but if we get no responce from buyer then the goods will be forfeited and resold at our discretion.
Any balance remaining unpaid after the resale may be referred to our collection agency, and or small claims court.

No employee of KOS Auctions is authorized to make any representation or warranty, oral or written, with respect to any lot or item for sale other than the CEO.
KOS Auctions will not return or refund money if an item is not exactly in the same condition as listed in the online listing. All ratings in the online listing are subjective and are of visual opinion, no mechanical inspection is undertaken by KOS unless stated. Any concern on a listing must be addressed via email before the closing of the auction.
Any items that are purchased that we are not able to deliver will be sold at the next opportunity, regular commission charges apply to that secondary sale.
We require your full correct name and a mailing address for your items won. Customers who fail to do so, or who need the paperwork restarted due to an error on their part may be charged an administrative fee of $25.00 per lot. All sales are final and not subject to conditions. All merchandise is sold 'As Is' without recourse to the vendor. All goods advertised or displayed are subject to withdrawal prior to sale within the discretion of the auctioneer. The Auctioneers may reject a bid at their discretion without reason or explanation. Bid increments are fixed for online-only auctions. Bid increments are fixed for the pre-bidding and maximum bid portion of Online auctions.

The Purchaser expressly acknowledges and agrees that in no event shall KOS Auctions or its associcated companies be liable for any damages including without limitation any compensatory, incidental or consequential damages.
The absence of a condition statement does not imply that the lot is in perfect condition or completely free from wear and tear, imperfections or the effects of aging. If we sell firearms that have been previously de-activated by others, these may not meet current or exportable standards. Firearms de-activated by others may or may not have a “de-activation letter” available. We are not able to search for letters for firearms de-activated by others.
